Kintai Bridge
Visit Kintai Bridge or Kintaikyo.  This bridge has a history dating as far back as 1673, and it originally stood without the use of metal nails for almost three hundred years. What got me so excited about this bridge was how it was depicted, almost always, in samurai anime. It felt surreal to see the actual structure up close and personal! Yup, you can visit the nearby historical sites on samurais if you want to as well. Kintai Bridge is located in the nearby town of Iwakuni which is less than one hour’s train ride from Hiroshima. #japan #history #architecture #westjapan #hiroshima
