Dried fish / Daing - is a common food in the Visayas group of Islands. They export it to various places in the country and every island has their own version of it. The public market is a haven for photographers too, perfect to capture daily lives of fisherman and locals. You’ll see various kinds of fish, vegetables and other interesting things foreign to visitors. Taste: Highly salted fish and crispy deep fried. It’s so salty that you need a vinegar wth spices or clamansi ( a local lemon) sauce whenever you eat it to balance the high salt content, thhen mix it with rice to even make it less salty. A must try when you are in the area.
