Just a couple hours north of Seattle is the Island paradise (northwest style of course) of the San Juan’s. There’s a few islands to choose from all with their own appeal. My favorite is Lopez Island (pictured) much less touristy and small enough to ride a bike around the whole island and explore the jagged coastline and deserted coves. Orcas is a great spot too with a bohemian vibe and it’s own music festival. Make sure you kayak (you can do overnights to some smaller islands even to camp), I got extremely lucky once and kayaked with killer whales! Maybe the most insane experience of my life.
