Cape Otway Lightstation
Cape Otway Lightstation is situated approximately half way along the Great Ocean Road, at the southernmost point of the coastal drive. The second lighthouse ever to be built in Australia, a spot where many a ship was wrecked and many people died as they made the voyage to their new home in Australia. The park costs $20 to enter, with some historic buildings and a quaint little cafe as well as this beautiful lighthouse. It was the only attraction we paid for on our trip, and it was worth it. The lighthouse is open and you can get a good view from the top, showing the treacherous waters where the Bass Strait collides with the Southern Ocean. #sea #culture #history #view #greatoceanroadtrip
