Take a trip down the Mornington peninsula to Mt Marta beach. About an hour from CBD by car, it’s one of the best beaches in Melbourne’s you won’t find many tourists here as it’s a little further than St Kilda or Brighton, but the beach boxes and golden sands are even nicer since there are less people snapping away. The town is not too far with a big IGA for all your picnic desires, plus some restaurants and cute shops to browse if you get tired of swimming in the crystal clear water (yeah, right)!
