Moeders
Staampot is another Dutch dish that cannot be missed on a trip to Amsterdam- particularly in the winter months. We chose a restaurant called Moeders (Mothers in Dutch) to eat it in as it only served Dutch food but had the atmosphere as though your mother had made it! Staampot is mashed potato with either sauerkraut or kale (we chose sauerkraut) with a meatball, bacon and a sausage to garnish. Generous amounts of gravy are also given.
