About a 15-minute drive from the city of Swakopmund, there are a range of adventure activities that you can do including skydiving, quad biking, hot air ballooning, and sandboarding. There are a few companies that offer one or a combination of activities daily (I went with Alter-Action Sandboarding). Even if you’re not interested in the more extreme activities, seeing the Namib Desert is an incredible experience and easy enough to visit by hiring a car or having a taxi drive you there for an hour or two.
