Audubon Street Art
Walking through West Harlem is not only a glimpse into a beautiful and architecturally rich neighborhood, but it can also become an art-based scavenger hunt! The National Audubon Society partnered with Gitler &_____ Gallery to raise awareness about the climate-related threats to local bird species by commissioning murals for each of those affected. Out of the 314 endangered bird species in North America, you can find at least 67 already painted around Harlem. End your wander at Trinity Cemetery on 155th and Broadway where Audubon is buried, just across the street from one of the most dramatic murals created - "Swallow-tailed Kite +12". #streetart #murals #art #free #outdoors #harlem #nyc
