Arguably the most jaw-droppingly beautiful part of Udine is the Piazza Della Libertà. Located at the foot of the castle, the square is not only composed of the typically rustic-yet-clean-cut Friulian architecture that we know and love; there is a raised platform that is home to the glistening white Torre dell’ Orologio, an homage to Venice’s Saint Mark’s cathedral clock. At Christmas, the square twinkles to life, with a set of tasteful lights, the raised platform staging a number of musical and community events. #udine #italy #photography
