Belvedere Palace
This sumptuous and elaborated palace, completed in 1723, is packed to the rafters with great art ranging from the medieval to the modern. And while I personally consider Klimt to be massively over-rated, that clearly puts me in a distinct minority judging from the legions of fans who swarm here to see “The Kiss”, a painting that is reproduced ad nauseam on coffee mugs and t-shirts in gift shops throughout the city. If Klimt is not your thing, you can always check out works by David, Monet, Van Gogh and Munch, among others. Make sure to leave some time to wander the gardens, they are absolutely dreamy.
