Gibb's Hill Lighthouse
Gibbs Hill Lighthouse offers sweeping views of the island, but you’ll have to climb the 185-step spiral iron staircase first. Don’t worry - strategically-placed platforms with displays give you a chance to catch your breath and learn about the lighthouse’s history on the way up. The 117-foot lighthouse was built in 1846 of cast iron, and is the oldest of its kind in the world. Watch for the lighthouse’s beam at night! #lighthouse #historic #light #maritime #ships
