A 20-minute drive from downtown Anchorage will land you at the Flattop trailhead, one of the city's most beloved hikes. A quick walk up from the parking area pans out into stunning views that only get better as you ascend. While the hike is short, its quick elevation gain is enough to get your blood pumping, and it had a stellar payoff - panoramic views of Cook Inlet.
