Take a train out to the north of the city limits to Portugalete where you can either enjoy Playa de Las Arenas, Parque Evaristo Churruca off the pier or cross Vizcaya Bridge, a world heritage site. It is something special to cross a river on a suspended gondola from an awesome iron bridge. Locals and tourists alike make their way across using this carriage for their persons, bikes or cars.
