Hanu' Berarilor Casa Elena Lupescu
Housed in an interwar mansion that was renovated after the '89 Revolution, this great restaurant is located in the middle of a lovely district populated with century-old houses. The restaurant is quite luxurious, has exquisite dishes, and complementary varietal wines. The place features several public and private spaces to eat, a large garden with two different zones, as well as a playground for kids. They make delicious tripe soup (ciorba de burta - the most famous Romanian borsch) and all sorts of grilled meats paired with potatoes and salads. The Romanian traditional dessert (called papanasi) is huge as it includes two pieces topped with sour cream and fruit jam, so keep that in mind and consider splitting it with someone. House beer is a strong traditional lagger and goes well with most of the dishes. #romania #romanianfood #bucharest #bucharestoldtown
