This week I visited some family-run coffee farms just a couple of hours' drive from Bogota with Andes Ecotours. The farmers kindly showed us the coffee production process, from the plant to the delicious, steaming cup of coffee. This isn't a standard day-tour. This is community tourism working hand-in-hand with sustainable development. These tours contribute to the local families' incomes, helping them to continue working on their farms and improving their future prospects. This hands-on tour also gives people who visit the farms a chance to meet and talk to the local people, learn about their work and gain an insight into their lives. I took so many photos that I've no idea how I'm going to decide which ones to share! More coming later this week! Thanks to Chantelle for leading such an enjoyable and memorable tour! . . . . #ecotourism #thisiscolombia #travelphotography #instatour #southamerica #travelblogger #travelstoke #colombia #bbctravel #traveldeeper #livetravelchannel #wanderlust #natgeo #bestplaces #travelhere #amazingplaces #coffeetour #coffee #coffeelovers
