This little meadow by the side of the road features a gorgeous view of El Capitan. Located along the one-way Northside Drive, I recommend stopping here on your way out of Yosemite Valley. You'll know it by the many people lounging in chairs to your left, and of course, the 3000ft granite face to your right. Follow the path to the eastern side of the field and pull up a blanket (and maybe a picnic dinner, too, while you're at it). Here, you'll have the perfect viewpoint to watch how the sunset bathes El Capitan in golden light. #mountains #views #hiking
