Two Bristol institutions come together in the Grim Reaper’s story: Banksy and Thekla. HMS Thekla is a permanently moored boat that is home to a nightclub and live music venue (it’s worth seeing which gigs are on there while you are in town). The Grim Reaper was originally painted on the side of the boat, appearing to float on the water, but these days it lives just across the water in M Shed. It was put on long-term loan to the museum, which is dedicated to all things Bristol, for its protection while Thekla underwent restoration. #streetart #bristol #banksy
