The Blue Nile falls is known as Tis Abay in Amharic, meaning "great smoke". It is situated on the upper course of the river, about 30 km downstream from the town of Bahir Dar and Lake Tana. If you ever found yourself in Bahir Dar you should give it a visit but don’t forget your sunblock and a hat or an umbrella because the road is long and you will have to walk under the sun for long. #climbing #hiking #familyfriendly
