While on your epic road trip down (or up!) Highway 1 this detour is a must. You’ll see signs for it whether you’re going north or south along the highway in Humboldt County. Unlike the wider highway, this narrow avenue is built around the trees, making the road and your car feel tiny amongst the world’s tallest trees. It’s humbling to say the least.
