The Rodin Museum of Philadelphia contains the largest collection of the artist’s sculptures outside of Paris. You can admire his magnificent works in bronze as well as other pieces in marble, plaster, terre-cotta and the unusual “pate-de-verre” technique in which ground glass was placed in a mold and fired, giving the creations an almost translucent appearance. There are are number of famous and iconic sculptures here but my favorite was the spooky “Gates of Hell” door, all of us sinners have been warned!
