10. Onokomiyaki This street food is not just special to Japan but specifically, to Osaka. More than just eating, this dish is about fun too. Like hotpot, it’s food where everyone gets to participate to make your own. Hotpot is a widespread culture in Asia though for Okonomiyaki, this is really Japanese. So make sure you make time to try it while in Osaka. We found one Okonomiyaki eatery- Tombe, that came highly recommended, hidden in a dingy corner. The batter was fluffy and special enough, although the greasy setting and décor could do with much refurbishing.
