If you haven't realized from my other food posts, I get extremely stoked when I find #vegetarian food in South America. Seledonia's Mesa is some of the best food I've had so far, AND she offers a cooking class for $48USD. Seledonia will come to your hostel, take you to a local market with no other tourists, buy the food, then take you to her kitchen/restaurant to begin the class. She only spoke Spanish, but spoke incredibly slow and clear so English speakers can understand. She's unbelievably friendly and patient, and the food she teaches you to make is out of this world. Overall, from when she came to our hostel to when we left the restaurant was about 4.5 hours. Totally worth it!
