La Playita is a small beach by Las Galleras that's always tranquil and with gorgeous views. You'll see locals here and hear lots of bachata. You can eat at one of the few restaurants around and get a massage. You'll see children play. It's cool to give them chocolate or candy but please refrain from giving money so that they understand that it's not young children's job to make money but to be in school instead. On the beach itself, you can get a lounge chair for 100 pesos ($2). There's a shower to wash off right to the left of the beach entrance. #beach #local #culture
