Budapest is a beautiful city with lots to see. If I've understood it right it was one of the cities that wasn't destroyed during world war II, so there's lots of old buildings left. Had a good stay at a hostel with walking distance to the city centre, pubs and lots of places selling the best "fast food" I've ever eaten.
