Stehekin
No roads lead to Stehekin, a mountain village tucked at the end of fifty-five mile Lake Chelan. Stehekin is the gateway to the North Cascades National Park. The boat and sea plane dock and surrounding buildings make up what is called "The Stehekin Landing." Lodging is available right off the dock and at a few cabins and lodges up the Stehekin Valley Road. Chelan Seaplanes operates this classic 1958 deHavilland Beaver from the foot of the lake at Chelan. Scheduled flights run daily from May 13 (or so) to late fall. A passenger boat also makes the lake run daily during the summer season and three times a week during the rest of the year.
