Utah State Capitol Building
Another of Salt Lake’s most prominent landmarks sits high on a hill overlooking the the city. The Capitol Building is housed on a 40 acre plot perfectly groomed and manicured. On the property are several memorials and sculptures dedicated to Utah’s colorful history. The building itself is made of Utah granite, like the Salt Lake Temple, and can be likened to Greece’s Pantheon. Tours of the building are available throughout the week that include delving into past, present, and future of Utah life. #government
