The Nur Astana Mosque is in the center of Astana and it's the biggest mosque in the country and in all Central Asia. It has been built within 3 years and finished in 2008. The main building is 40 meters high and the four minarets are 63 meters high. It's magnificient from outside but also inside. Tips for women travelers : you can enter from the left side and then go up to the second floor, it's the women part. You need to cover your hair with a scarf. Though, if you are discreet enough, you can sneak in the men's part to have a better view.
