Aral sea memorial
Used to be the fourth largest lake in the world. The Aral Sea is located on the border of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan with poets, fish plants and fishing boats. Until the 1950s, it took about 68000km square and had a length of 426km, width of 284 km and maximum depth of 68m. The Aral Sea begin to shallow in the 60s when the water was taken to the irrigation works for cotton fields. By the early 2000s, the depth went down to 31 m and the water volume was 10%. Now an environmental disaster and boat graveyard.
