Salt Point State Park
As you head North, you’ll have a chance to stop in San Francisco before you get to Salt Point State Park. But once you arrive to this rocky stretch of the coast, you’ll find there’s plenty of outdoor activities to do. With jagged peninsulas, coastal forests, and hidden beaches to explore, this cave-like area was eroded by the sea and is what gives this park its name. All these unique features makes Salt Point a great place for climbers and hikers. Take the Douglas Fir or Coastal Redwood trail. It’s a great way to see Northern California’s raw and authentic nature while being immersed among some of the state's most dramatic landscapes.
