Start at the Wilderness Gateway Campground on Highway 12 in Idaho. Just drive through the campground until you see signs posted for the #211 Trailhead. Parking is a little ways beyond the trailhead. The hike in is about 6 miles with a decent uphill beginning, but then it levels out and is smooth sailing with wonderful views over Boulder Creek. Turn south(right) onto Trail #221, it’s clearly posted. Carefully cross Boulder Creek and continue briefly to the Hot Springs. There are multiple campsites, often people, and it’s clothing optional. Nice site, though, with a large main pool at a great temp and smaller, hotter pools above. Worth the trip! #backpacking #hotsprings #camping
