For a true Québec experience, one must try this locally created dish. Poutine was created in the 1950's by a local Québec restaurant when a customer asked for some cheese curds to be thrown on his fries as he was in a hurry. After this, the owner went on to add gravy to the dish and today's classic Poutine was born.
