A perennial favourite the Calgary zoo is open 364 days a year. They have animals from Eurasia, Canada & Africa. On chillier days head to the African savanagh or tropical rainforest pavilions to warm up. Don't miss the penguin walk at penguin plunge exhibit. They really are adorable. Also a favourite with the kids; dinosaur island. And my favourite the Dorothy Harvie gardens and butterfly pavilion and conservatory.
