Armenian Church
The Diocesan Museum in Bucharest is part of a religious complex that belongs to the Armenian community. The compound includes an Armenian church, the episcopal residence, a cultural center with a small museum, and the seat of the Armenian Community in Romania. The small exhibition reminds the fact that the Armenian community is one of the oldest ones in Romania. The Armenian church in Bucharest was built in 1911 by the architect Dimitrie Maimarolu and Grigore Cherchez after the model of the well-known cathedral in Vagharsapat - Ecmiadzin (Armenia). The church is still functional and the local community who lives in the capital holds religious services every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. #bucharest #romania #museum
