One of the striking facts about the castle is that it used to be a sugar producing area in the Middle Ages. While walking inside the kitchen and sugar factory, I imagined how the citizens worked here and what it looked like back in the day. After the tour inside, we went to the neighboring winery villages to learn more about the Commandaria wine.
