Liebermann-Villa am Wannsee
Just a short train ride from Berlin, the lovely town of Wannsee centers around a lake that is dotted with biergartens. It's a great bike ride, swim and culture day rolled into one. Max Liebermann, a German-Jewish painter, spent years painting biergartens and was a driving force in Impressionism in Germany. His villa was taken away from his wife during the Nazi regime and now is turned into this beautiful exhibition of his paintings overlooking the lake - somewhat restored to its original splendor when Max resided there. #art #culture #swimming #history #paintings
