An easy 10 min walk from Sultanahmet Park along Divan Yolu will bring you to the oldest monument of Constantinople - The Column of Constantine. This structure is as old as the city itself.  It was dedicated by the Emperor Constantine in 330 AD to commemorate the declaration of Byzantium as the new capital of the Roman Empire.
