Certainly one of the most beautiful shrines in all of Japan! Check the tide times and plan your day so that you can experience this magical place when the tide is in and when it's out. When it's out, you can walk right up and touch this torii gate. In addition to walking out to the gate, it's worth the couple hundred yen to go inside and walk around the main part of the shrine. Simply gorgeous! Watch out for your map and if necessary, snacks, because the deer around here can be fiesty.
