If you're headed to Africa, put Uganda on your list. More importantly, make sure to visit Jinja and raft the mighty Nile River. Time it just right in January and you'll be witnessing some of the best kayakers in the world assemble for a week of mind-blowing tricks and laid back partying at night for the annual competition. The camp is affordable, good activities, good eats and has some safari tents overlooking the Nile that I highly recommend.
