Ayutthaya is one of Thailand's beautiful old Siamese kingdoms and is also a UNESCO Heritage site. See in person Wat Mahathat (Buddha Head in Tree Roots). We decided to see this as a day trip and you can definitely imagine how glorious this kingdom would have once been. Tip: We did this as a day trip (can fit easily Into half a day) from Bangkok and then caught the night train from here to Chiang Mai. #history #UNESCO
