I’ve been a fan of seeing cultural performances while in China and this one was definitely one of my favorites. The Naxi are the ethnic group from the area of Lijiang and they have a rick cultural history and their own music. Many members are over 80 years old and some of the only people that can play these musical instruments (a lot of the instruments were destroyed in the cultural revolution. People had to bury them somewhere to keep them) and some of the instruments or UNESCO’s list. Really beautiful music. #art #history #music #cover-charge #livemusic
