Kazanskaya Tserkov'
Irkutsk is famous for its traditional wooden houses but my favorite sight is definitely the Kazan Church, aka the Church of Our Lady of Kazan.
The salmon-pink walls and turquoise domes make it look like a fairy castle!
Located around 2 km away from the center, in the working-class suburb, this remarkable building is worth the walk. Built in 1885, it has the largest church bell of the city and a lot of fresco paintings inside.
In winter, there are ice sculptures representing angels or saints, all over the garden of the cathedral.
