There are TWO Montepulciano red wines in Italy: one is produced in Abruzzo, Southern Italian region, the other one is produced in the homonym village in Tuscany. Actually, the complete name of the Tuscan wine is Nobile di Montepulciano, meaning that it is a noble and high-profile red wine. Do not dare confusing them!
