One of the most beautiful beaches in La Paz is called Balandra. It is about 30 km from the center of town but is definitely worth the trip. Buses get there every hour from the main terminal. The water level is so low that you can walk to the 7 beaches formed by the small bay without having water over your waist. The water is clear and fresh, perfect to spend the day.
