Carlo Alcos's experience in Slocan

Valhalla Provincial Park
It's a 45-minute or so drive on a logging road from Slocan City to get to the trailhead, then a pretty intense hike for a few hours. There are a few tent spots at the top, mostly used by rock climbers who climb one of a few multi-pitch (7 or so) trad routes to the peak of a rocky horn at the top. There are often mountain goats wandering around, and an open-air pit toilet. There isn't a water source so being what you need. If you're parking overnight in the lot use the chicken wire to protect your tires and under carriage from porcupines. This view is looking into Mulvey Basin at the top. #hiking #rockclimbing #hike #extreme #camping
