This hike is about 6 miles roundtrip, but note that if you're coming in a large vehicle then you will be unable to drive to the trailhead, which will add an extra few miles to your hike. The whole hike is along a beautiful river with lots of clearly established spots to take a dip if you'd like. Or you can do what I did and hop from rock to rock until you're surrounded by water. Also along the hike is a small cemetery for those of you who, like me, enjoy looking at graveyards. Hike up to Elbert Cantrell Farmstead, an old abandoned farm with two big old farm buildings to explore and a small well-house. #smokymountains #hiking #gatlinburg
