The trail takes its name from the Old Fisherman's House in Kalk Bay. Between Kalk Bay and Hout Bay, the trail spans 22 km across the Cape Peninsula. As you can tell by the rugged terrain of the peninsula, the trail contains ascends and descends some of which might be steep for average fitness level. As you make your way through the Silvermine Reservoirs, the views of False Bay and Hout Bay will mesmerise you.
