Muir Woods is a delightful redwood forest just north of San Francisco. It features old-growth redwoods and miles of trails which criss-crosd over rivers, making the entire place feel like a world away from the city. Because it's such a beautiful forest situated in such a popular part of the Bay Area, Muir Woods does come with crowds.
