La Barra is a special gem not many travelers know about on the pacific coast, my favorite area of Colombia. Get to Buenaventura then take a boat to juanchoco then a mototaxi through the mud to the tiny town of La Barra. Hotel Majagua is dirt cheap and the best place in town to stay. Chill out in hammocks swim in the ocean and eat the delicious fried fish and coconut shrimp the pacific coast has to offer
