The fortress of Khudjant was built during the 10th century, but unfortunately only a small part remains original. After some civil war in 1997, it has been almost completely destroyed and few years later it has been renovated. Inside, there are still some army forces but also two museums : the historical museum and the archeological museum. They are quite small and I would say the view of the citadel is more interesting. #history #architecture #tajikistan
