The Shandur pass is a famous pass around 3.700m high. Depending on the season you can cross it by vehicle, but most of the time, you'll have to walk up there. It is the fastest land crossing point between the Gilgit and Chitral valleys. It is about 25km to the top from the last village. At the top of the pass you can get help from the military officers keeping the pass. There is a polo ground at the top and a cabine to host high rankings officials for the annual polo tournament taking place there. #mountain #hike #pakistan
